About FOMO Travel Co.
Hi, I’m Sherri Nissen, founder of FOMO Travel Co. and an independent affiliate of Uniglobe Travel Center. Becoming a travel advisor is my “second act” after a long and rewarding career in education, but my love of travel started long before I booked my first client.
My husband and I once spent an entire year living in Australia on a teacher exchange, exploring more of the country than most of the locals at my school! I discovered my knack for planning trips when I organized a fully customized 21-day adventure through Europe for our family of four, filled with unique activities that made every stop unforgettable.
As an avid skier, I’ve visited dozens of ski resorts across the western US and Canada, experience that comes in handy when crafting your perfect ski getaway. Beyond North America, my travels have taken me to Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Tanzania, Mexico, Costa Rica, and many European countries. I draw on these personal adventures to design trips that blend authentic local experiences with just the right amount of adventure.
I believe the best travel invites you to slow down, savor, and connect with a place (then throw in a thrilling excursion or two for good measure!) Everyone’s travel style is different, and I take the time to listen so we can create a trip that’s uniquely yours.

The name FOMO Travel Co. is rooted in a simple belief: There’s a big, beautiful world out there - and I don’t want you to miss the good stuff!
I specialize in helping people slow down, travel like locals, and create trips filled with immersive moments, not just Instagram checkmarks. Whether it’s biking through Copenhagen, wandering through a market in Greece, or sipping coffee in a tucked-away café, I plan the kind of travel that allows you to feel a place.
As a former teacher, organizing complex logistics and meeting different learning styles was my bread and butter. Now, I use that same approach to create personalized, beautifully organized itineraries for every kind of traveler.
