Planning a trip should be exciting, not overwhelming! Below are answers to the most common questions I get as a travel advisor, so you know exactly how I work, what to expect, and how I can make your travel experience effortless and unforgettable. If you don’t see your question here, just reach out! I’m always happy to chat about your travel plans.

    • Think of me as your personal travel matchmaker. I save you hours of research, take care of the booking details, and provide insider tips you won’t find in a Google search. Plus, as a Virtuoso advisor, I can often secure extra perks like upgrades, exclusive experiences, and special offers, at no extra cost to you. And if something doesn’t go as planned, you have my personal, human help before, during, and after your trip! My network of suppliers includes on-the-ground support in the destinations where you will be traveling.

    • Before becoming a travel advisor, I spent 29 years as a teacher, a career that honed my skills in organization, research, and truly listening to people’s needs. I’ve also lived abroad for a year in Australia on a teacher exchange, which gave me firsthand insight into immersing in a destination rather than just visiting it.

My own travels have taken me across Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Costa Rica, and ski resorts throughout the western US and Canada. I draw on those personal experiences, along with my industry partnerships, to create thoughtful, well-organized itineraries that reflect your travel style. Every trip I plan is designed to help you slow down, savor the moment, and enjoy a seamless, stress-free experience from start to finish!

    • I can plan and book most types of travel, with specialties in multi-generational trips, active travel, small group adventures, beach getaways, European vacations, and small ship or river cruising. I work with trusted tour companies, accommodations, cruise lines, and travel suppliers to ensure your trip is everything you envision — and more.

Flights can be booked as part of a travel package or tour, often at better rates. I generally don’t book flights alone, since fares change rapidly, but I’m happy to help with complex itineraries.

Through my partnerships with Uniglobe and Virtuoso, I also offer access to fully vetted private homes and villas worldwide. These properties meet strict quality standards, so you can book with confidence. I do not book AirBnB or VRBO, as those properties aren’t vetted and carry too many unknowns to guarantee a great stay.

    • You might be surprised at how affordable it is to work with a travel advisor! My planning fee is just $50 per traveler(maximum $150 per family), which covers the time I spend researching, designing, and booking your custom itinerary. I also earn commission from bookings - but that doesn’t mean your trip will cost more. Thanks to my partnerships with Virtuoso, Uniglobe, and vetted travel suppliers, I have access to special rates, upgrades, and experiences not available to the general public.

  • You won’t be left to figure it out alone! I provide support before, during, and after your travels, and I’m here to help if you need to rebook, adjust plans, or handle any unexpected hiccups.

  • Simply fill out my “Start Planning” questionnaire! I’ll then reach out to learn more about your travel dreams, budget, and priorities so I can begin creating a custom itinerary just for you!
